The final resting place of some of New Orleans’ most interesting and historical characters, including Bernard de Marigny, former president of the Louisiana Senate, and Voodoo queen Marie Laveua. Many of the ornate Spanish and French styled tombs in the cemetery are above ground for protection from rising water levels.

The Garden District is a prosperous residential area with lovely mansions, mature trees, and lush gardens, and is probably, in some respects, the stereotypical image many foreigners have of the Deep South. The area can be easily explored on foot and some companies offer guided tours, which can be a good way to learn the history and see the sights.

A nonprofit zoo located in proximity to an aquarium, insectarium, and park with nature conservation programs. The Audubon Zoo has 58 acres of animals in their natural habitats. A special feature of the Audubon Zoo is the stroll through a real swamp right in the middle of uptown New Orleans.

This is a bar and grill that serves as a front for the covens of New Orleans. Most of the witches stay as close as they can to the cemeteries where their ancestral magic is at its strongest. This building serves as a safe space for all witches of the area.

The French Quarter

Preservation Hall is an unassuming old building that has long been an institution in New Orleans known for jazz music. The historic hall still features traditional jazz by local artists. The building is small, creating an intimate setting, and seating is limited.

In the center of the square, surrounded by trees and greenery, is an equestrian statue of General Andrew Jackson. An iron fence surrounds the square, and has long been an artist's hang out, and nearby are shops and restaurants. The whole area is very attractively laid out along the banks of the Mississippi, with docks and river boats.

Bourbon Street (French: Rue Bourbon) is a street in the heart of New Orleans' oldest neighborhood, the French Quarter, in New Orleans, Louisiana. It extends 13 blocks. Known for its bars and strip clubs, Bourbon Street's history provides a rich insight into New Orleans' past.

Serving consistently delicious, piping hot and well sugared products, Café Du Monde remains a genuine experience. Be patient and prepared to stand in line for a seat at this outdoor café.

A hotel by any means, serves as the home of the vampires of the area, though most people are blissfully unaware. This hotel is quite luxurious and stands somewhere in the middle of Bourbon Street, allowing its guests access to all the hustle and bustle of the city.

Algiers

Algiers Point evolved from the plantation of Barthelemy Duverjé. The Duverjé home was built c. 1812-16, and served as the Algiers Courthouse from 1866. It was destroyed by the Great Fire of Algiers in 1895 and replaced by the current structure in 1896.

Just your typical library in a very old building. It's rumored that it's haunted, but no one has any proof of that.

Algiers Point is a location on the Lower Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana. In river pilotage, Algiers Point is simply one of the many points of land around which the river flows—albeit a significant one.

Some of the best views of the original City of New Orleans via a Canal Street Ferry ride across the Mississippi River, and learn why New Orleans is called the Crescent City as the ferry traverses the river's natural crescent to historic Algiers Point on the West Bank.

A rather popular nightclub that's been around for the last year or so. It seems to be the headquarters of the Onyx Crosses Crime Syndicate, though it's just a rumor.

The Outskirts

Grand Isle is a town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, located on a barrier island of the same name in the Gulf of Mexico. The island is at the mouth of Barataria Bay where it meets the gulf.

All around New Orleans, there are quite a few wildlife reserves and nature parks if you're up for a stroll.

Lake Pontchartrain is a brackish estuary located in southeastern Louisiana in the United States. It covers an area of 630 square miles with an average depth of 12 to 14 feet. Some shipping channels are kept deeper through dredging.

From dark swamps thick with cypress trees to sun-kissed marshes playing host to herons and egrets, the Mississippi River Delta is a watery but photogenic wonderland. Much of southern Louisiana, where rivers empty their waters and sediment into the Gulf of Mexico, comprises the delta. This lush Southern landscape, dubbed Bayou Country, teems with seafood, wildlife and passels of lively Cajuns.

A large state park that is open to visitors during daylight hours. Hidden deep within its forests and swamps, the werewolves call this place home, where they can turn and run free without much worry from the other factions.
